About SENTRY HAWK
The SENTRY HAWK intelligent robotic bird control system uses patrolling drones to eliminate birds from your vineyard, orchard or business complex. The custom-designed drone has a a high decibel bird-repellent “screamer” AND four laser devices to disorient the birds. Our easy-to-use mobile app lets you launch pre-programmed flights directly from your mobile device without the need for any drone programming or flying skills. With simple one-button operation, when you see birds in or around your vineyard, just open the app and click on the map where you want the drone to fly, and the Sentry Hawk will do the rest. Flights can be also scheduled to fly at times when bird pressure is greatest. Simply select the Program Flights menu and enter what missions you would like the drone to fly and when. The Sentry Hawk will send you a text alert when it is about to launch, for you to confirm, and then it will takeoff and fly the programmed mission without any inputs from an operator.
Problem
Birds destroy over $200MM of wine grapes, cherries, nuts and berries in the the US each year. Growers use distress sounds, propane cannons, flopping (used car lot) air people netting and even hire full-time employees to drive the property and shoot at birds. Less common solutions include falconers to remain on site during the harvest season and laser scaring systems.

Are there any weather restrictions?
The Sentry Hawk is weather-resistant and is designed to fly in light rain but should not be left out or flown in heavy downpours. It also measures wind speed, so if it gets too windy, the Sentry Hawk will automatically land and notify the user by text that the winds were too great to fly.
How high and fast does the Sentry Hawk fly?
The Sentry Hawk uses Garmin LiDAR (LED radar) to maintain an accurate 7m (23’) off the ground and flies at a speeds up to 25 MPH. The Sentry Hawk follows the landscape terrain at 7’ and is programmed to never exceed that height under any conditions.
How often do I need to change the battery?
The Sentry Hawk will get approximately ten, 3-minute flights before battery needs to be changed. When the battery is low, the user will get a text. Under normal conditions, the battery will need to replaced twice a day.
What is the Warranty?
The Sentry Hawk has a one-year warranty against hardware or software defects. If the drone should crash or become damaged within the warranty period, we will express ship a replacement. Extended warranties are available for additional drone coverage.
